Its giving the Pro's all they want this week.

Never seen so many players totally miss the greens on second shots.

I obviously didn't play it with this setup, but it's a very fun, challenging course. I've never played a shot off a beach, but I got to do just that on 15.

What was your Kiawah experience like? You do one of their stay and play packages?

It was awesome. Yes, we did a golf package and stayed from Sun - Wed of Masters week.

We played Ocean that Monday, Osprey on Tuesday, and then Turtle Point on Wednesday before leaving.

There are a few places to eat on the island if you never want to leave, but we went into Charleston one night for a good steak (Oak Steakhouse).

Nice, They seem to have some good deals from time to time. Seems like you can do what you described for <$2,000

If my group doesn't get the Scotland trip lined up in time , I am going to suggest that we try Kiawah Island.

Yep, definitely. It really was a great trip. 4 of us did it and we loved it.

Fun to watch, but I don’t have enough golf balls to play there.

I live about driver-5 iron from the #13 fairway. From the tees that play 6200 yds it's a 132 slope. The 6500 yard tees are rated 136.
It's all about the wind. When the wind is down (from zero to 10 or 12 mph), it's very playable for a 12-15 handicap player. When the wind is up, the Ryder Cup Bar in the clubhouse is a better place to be.
