I was at the range this weekend and the head on my wedge flew off and needs to be re glued. Guy next to me said using it to get balls out of the water and washing the club is the cause and he was correct. I just had stuck it in the bucket to clean it after chipping and I used it to get a ball out of the water a couple days prior.

Anyway do I need to take it to a golf shop to get re glued? How much does something like this cost?

Thanks

About $3.50.

It won't cost you much. They'll just clean the old epoxy off and put some new on. If it's more than $15, you're being overcharged.

Sounds like there was a air bubble in the epoxy. Washing your clubs or using it to fish out balls will not cause this. Easy fix!

That guy was pretty wrong. Do you leave your clubs in the trunk of a car? That could melt and crack epoxy.

Ahh. Well either way it flew off and it had gotten wet so I just went with it. I keep them inside my truck in the backseat.

Slamming your wedge into the side of the golf cart after you chili dipped your approach shot does not count as “falling off.”
