So I was playing yesterday and was sitting in my cart waiting for my partner to hit and got beamed in the back from a drive with the group behind us. The ball hit me and bounced in the back of the cart.

Granted, it was a blind shot, but the golf carts have screens that show where the carts are.

I ended finishing up the hole and went back to curse out the guys. They were very apologetic and claimed that they “played the course all the time”. I ended up cooling down and walking away, but ended up keeping the ball that hit me.

Did I go too far?

Sounds like a reasonable reaction

Not like he hit you on purpose. Get over it.

It took every ounce of strength not to. It added insult to injury that he said he played there all the time. He should know the blind spots. It also would have been 4 on 2.

They apologized immediately. Not really sure what the issue is here.

You went over there looking for confrontation and backed down baw. If you’re gonna confront them you better knock at least one out and bang the others wife.

There wasn't a Sonic near the course? You could have settled it once and for all there.

I hate to bring OT trashy stuff here, but it seemed appropriate in this case

I know it wasn’t malicious. It is irresponsible. If it had been 1 foot higher it would have hit me in the back of the head. Have you ever been hit by a golf ball?

And he apologized for his mistake. But you’re perfect, I suppose? I could also argue it’s irresponsible for you to be in a blind spot on a golf course you know without one cart in view of the tee box, or a spotter looking for drives.

Yes. And the guy apologized and I forgot about it.

Are you good at golf? You should have played them for money and cleaned up. Would have been worth getting hit in the back and it would make for a good story.

The closest was an Arby’s, it would have sufficed

If you live in Colorado let’s go play. I’ll watch your blind spot

There are a lot of blind spots on that course, hence why they have screens on the cart indicating where the carts in front of you are.

It was Bear Dance, so if you have ever played that one, you know how many blind spots are on that course.
