So as part of my lesson package I get a free fitting. I know a lot of people are not overly impressed with their fittings but since its free i'll at least give it a go. I play Standard length, standard lie Callaway Rouges and my driver and woods are Mavericks. All are only a year or so old so i don't really need new clubs. Having never been fitted what metrics should I pay attention to and what questions should I ask for whenever I do choose to upgrade?

There is also the chicken or egg question of do I get fitted before lessons or after lessons.

Unless you plan on getting new irons or woods, I'd use the fitting for something else. They will fit your wedges or putter.

I have all new clubs, wedges and putter too. I am most interested in if I am using the correct length, lie angle and shaft type since I have never been fitted and buy off the rack.

I was impressed with my driver fitting. Will return for irons. Ask for Jacob.

I would do the driver fitting just to see if your driver is hitting the right windows for launch and spin rate.
