I’m looking to book a golf weekend once this stuff blows over. Our old foursome gets together once a year to play (usually at the Fred’s tournament) but since that was cancelled we are going to plan a weekend.

I am looking for somewhere between BR and Houston (ideally somewhere in the middle) to book. Anyone have any course recommendations? In a perfect world we would play 3 courses over 3 days

Lake Charles is the obvious answer. It's right in the middle, stay at the nugget or lauberge and play nugget, contraband, and gray plantation. The other course to play would be Koasati Pines but its about 50 minutes away from GN

Go to San Antonio and play The Quarry and LaCantera. That’s what a buddy of mine and I did right before this shite popped off. Had a great time.

I'll second this. And I think you should make the trip to play Koasati. Really like that course..

I'll vouch for Koasati. Fav course in Louisiana. Can't help you on where to go after that.

OP, Lake Charles is the correct answer. You get the courses, pool and beach at the Nugget, restaurants, and casino if that’s your thing.

Will always be a special place to me. Have my first and only Ace there... hole 3. But the course is always in immaculate condition.

Good layout and pretty easy to be honest.. especially the greens. Always makes for a fun round.
