Golf tips and tricks thread

Hey I figured since we are all golfers here we could compile a thread with advice, what works, what doesn't, videos etc... Help everyone out!
I'll update the OP as we get good information
I'll start with something simple, I'm a decent golfer, not amazing but pretty good I like to think (play to a 7 handicap). One thing that has helped me a ton recently is the way I warm up. I used to show up and pound balls on the range until I feel "warm" while also trying to hit the ball straight.
Recently I changed all of that, I spend 80% of my warm up on pitching and putting, I only hit ~20-30 balls on the range, and only to figure out which way the ball is going that day. Instead of trying to make adjustments on the range, I am just seeing how the ball is flying so I can play smart shots on the course. Let's say I show up 20 minutes before my round, I won't even hit range shots, I'll only chip and putt... I feel like this not only helps me with my short game, but helps me with making solid contact in general

Top speed golf Clay Ballard really helped my chipping with this video below.

Paul Wilson body swing helped me too since it took some stress off of my back.
Read Eric Kaplain book on body lock putting and now my putting is the best it has ever been.

My favorites are clay Ballard, Chris Ryan, Mike Malaska, and athletic motion golf
The main thing for me was getting rid of my left hand cup at top and gripping in fingers

Here is a simple tip to get a little extra loft if you are trying to clear a tree:
Take your normal stance and fan out your back foot a little.
Not sure why this works, but it does.

- I always hit 10-15 balls on the range with my 7 iron with my feet together. It really helps develop your rhythm and tempo before a round.
- Before you leave the putting green, make 3 straight 5 foot putts in a row and hear the balls hitting the cup. It does wonders for putting confidence.
- Go to your number. I see people not doing this all the time. If you love a 120 yard approach shot, don’t hit a driver to 90 yards if you’re less confident with that distance. Take less club and go to your number so you can attack pins confidently.
- Really start thinking about your “leave” when hitting approach shots and putting. Stop giving yourself sweeping downhill putts. I’d rather have a 10 ft uphill straight putt than a 5 ft breaking downhill putt.
- Take Advil the night before and Aleve before the round

this goes to a key for me.
accept your limitations if you are playing with someone. even if no money is bet its a competitive situation.
if you are alone or with someone who is helping your game, then learn that 6 iron or whatever club.

When I am on the practice green I count out how many feet the putts are and place a tee there. I do 6ft ,12ft , 20ft and finish back at 6ft.
I have recently been hitting this low 8iron when I’m around 100-120yds out. I place the ball a little back in my stance. This shot is way more accurate than my PW.
