Going to Denver toward the end of July. Looking for the two best courses to play.

I have no clue about where to guide you. However, I did watch a senior open at Cherry hills.

Play Arrowhead in Littleton, and I like Common Ground near Lowry Field. Fossil Trace in Golden is always higly rated as well. If you dont mind Municipal courses Welshire near South Denver is a old Donald Ross Course that is owned by the city now. Small greens and not very long but fun to play if you like old school design.

Is awesome and definitely needs to be on the list for public courses, pretty close to the airport as well. I’d prob add common ground since it’s a Doak and I’ve heard good things about arrowhead and fossil trace, Cherry Hills is private.

Played black bear and Blackstone in Aurora about 2 weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Blackstone was really tough, they’ve got that wild grass all over the course that is impossible to get out of. Black Bear was just a fun layout with a bunch of elevated tee boxes and great views of the mountain range and Denver, it was pretty easy.

Big group of us played up there Memorial Day weekend.
Fossil Trace
Riverdale
Bear Dance
Colorado National

Colorado Nat'l and Fossil Trace would be my two choices.

The Ridge at Castle Pines North and Redhawk Ridge, both are south of Denver in Castle Rock. The Ridge at Castle Pines will be pricey but is the best public course on the front range and in just as good of shape as most private clubs.

Both courses offer dramatic elevation changes compared to any course in the city with great views of the mountains.

CommonGround and Fossil Trace if you want something closer to the city.
