Has anybody checked out the new indoor golf simulator place, Golf Haven, off Highland Road in Baton Rouge?

I brought a few guys from work there last week and was honestly really impressed. The place is incredibly nice, quiet, and laid back, and with the 100+ degree weather we’ve been getting lately, playing golf in the A/C is pretty hard to beat.

We ended up playing a course right on the coast of the Dominican Republic, which was really cool. The simulators were great and the whole setup felt much nicer than I was expecting.

I hadn't really heard much about the place before we went, curious if anybody else has been yet and what your experience was?

I played real golf with some guys who were telling me about it, said you can play 18 in an hour.

I’ve heard the chipping and putting is somewhat suspect

The place is really nice and they spared no expense on the build out, but their pricing structure is out of whack. That's all of Baton Rouge though I guess. $60/hr is steep if I'm looking to grind out a solo practice session. They have memberships which make it cheaper, but I've been to trackman facilities in Houston that are a fraction of the price and just as nice. Also, I may be more inclined to pay for a membership if it were a 24 hour facility with keycard access, that way I can go before work or after work etc. Just my two cents.

This is a really good point and not something I considered because we were there with 5 people so $60/hr did not seem bad for that when spread out over that many people.

Yeah that's a bit much. I pay $299 a year for Player Club at PGA Superstore here in Houston and get 1 hour a day every day on a Trackman. Otherwise it would be $29/hour per day.

Sounds badass, but i get why it can't be offered here PGASS has a bunch of other revenue streams to offset the cost. I think I paid $30/hr for the places i went in Houston as well.

I think ultimately if Golf Haven is looking to be a social venue, then they need to sell food and drinks and probably shouldn't have picked trackman.

If they want more serious golfers to come there to practice, they need to greatly improve the membership value until they get enough memberships to pay the bills. If I only get 10 hours/ month for $200, I'd rather spend the money on a personal launch monitor and practice as frequently as I want.
