Golden Nugget course in Lake Charles

Anyone play it lately? I’m playing a tournament there Thursday, curious about the condition. TIA

Played it last week. Rough was chopped recently so it's turning brown.
Fairways and greens were great shape.

Played it 2 weeks ago. Fun course. Ok shape. Greens were a little rough (I am used to bent grass greens), but putted ok. L'Auberge was actually a better course, but greens were recently sanded and punched. Would recommend both courses.

You're the first person I've heard with this opinion, but I haven't been out to L'auberge in over a year. Last time I went it was in pretty rough shape

I played it. Course was in decent shape. Not worth the asking price, however.

I live in LC and have played both courses several times... I actually like the layout of Contraband Bayou better than Golden Nugget. I don't like all the sawgrass rough on Golden Nugget.
Both are great courses in my opinion.

I never understand why people crap on Contraband so much. The times I have played it, it was in good shape and cheap.

Fun course, some nice holes. Close to the hotel. It’s all good.

I really enjoy Contraband and it’s usually in decent shape, not terribly expensive
