Is it common for all forged irons to show nicks from use? Thx

They’re softer than casted irons I believe. So bag chatter will show more.

But don’t let it bother you. People who complain about tiny chatter marks and get iron covers are insane.

It’s a large chunk of metal flying through space at 100mph. A small mark like that isn’t going to change a thing.

Thx. I would NEVER use iron covers.

Considering a move to forged. Played cast only for 20 years

This is absolutely correct and it is, indeed, called bag chatter. Most of the stuff you are seeing is just from rattling around in the bag during the round.

The nicks give your irons character. Enjoy!!!

Get Srixon, baw. Straightest longest forged club I’ve ever hit. There’s a cult here who know all the details better than I do, but I’m glad I listened to them.

Pretty sure I'm joining the cult of Srixon. All hail Hideki

Maybe that’s why he has a hard time understanding handicaps

I don’t care about scrapes and marks, I do love my iron covers though. You won’t hear me coming from a mile away.

Get mizunos. You're welcome.

I know I'll probably get downvoted because it's not Srixon or Mizuno, but don't overlook Callaway Apex MBs. I play a combo set of Apex 19 Pro (5/6) and MBs (7-PW)

I went from Mizuno's to Srixon. Mizuno makes a great club and I'd still have them if I didnt like the v sole action of the Srixon. That may not be for everyone though, but I've yet to chunk a single Srixon shot (use to be good for 1 every other round or so).
