Got to walk the whole course today for the first time. 13 has always been my favorite to watch on tv, and it didn’t disappoint today, and neither did the rest of Amen Corner.
The 6th really stood out to me today, especially standing behind the green and looking back up to the tee box.
Amazing place. Can’t wait to go back.

16th ... fairly diabolical hole ... pin is back left, it's not the worst ... pin if front left, you cannot go long under any circumstance ... Sunday pin rewards you if you hit the slope correctly ... otherwise, it's a very tough 2-putt from the back tier or lower right ... left is usually dead, unless you hit an incredible chip like tiger did ...
13th ... green calls for a fade, but you're on a severe uphill from the fairway unless you risked a hard draw or going over the corner trees ... best shot is to hit a slight punch shot from the fairway that rolls up the green and catches the slope back down to the hole, but no one does that ...

After being there today, number 4 looks like a mother fricker!

Walked blindfolded actually.
Nah...First time I went was with a BP badge - different entrance. When you leave BP you wind through the woods and can come out on 16 tee.

Sooooo.... the South Entrance?

#9 for me. Some of the pin placements on that green are death incarnate.

Sure.
If you wind through the woods from Berckmans Place you'll end up at 16 tee...so again, the first hole I ever saw in person was 16.

Well if you're above the hole to the right and they have that left pin the caddy should just go down to the bottom of the hill.
If you don't make it that's where it will end up

16 is the first hole I ever saw in person.
What did you do? Helicopter in or walk blind-folded back there? Pretty far from clubhouse and Gate at #5

Did you even read this thread? I have answered this a couple of times. Even included a picture for reference and made the same blind fold joke.

I really love 2/3 (Pink Dogwood/ Flowering Peach).
But, I'd have to choose #3 as my favorite.
For me, these two holes set the tone for how the round is going to go for each player.
Hole #1 is the toughest hole at Augusta (at least in 2017 based on cumulative statistics), and everyone is dealing with the nerves of the Masters.
Then, #2 gives them a chance to recover/grab a birdie/eagle.
So, #3 is the first real hole that shows what kind of form and mentality the golfer is in. Shortest par 4, but moderately tough.
And I just love the setup.
Beautiful fairway bunker design, challenging but open green, and I think it has the prettiest flowers.
