Driving and long irons

I can’t hit hybrids for some reason but I have good luck with my 5 iron. Thinking of getting a 4 in my same set or maybe a driving iron. I’ve heard good things about pings crossover.

I’d figure out what’s going on with the hybrids. Could be something as simple as ball position. Should be easier to hit than a 5 iron.

i honestly love my titleist ap2 710 3iron off the tee. will hit it over my 3 hybrid that goes a little further.

Had the same issue a while back , went and got a lesson and found that my swing angle was too steep. just changing a few minor things helped out tremendously with hybrids and my fairway woods..
So it could be a something simple that can be changed with a little work as opposed to spending money on something else..

Do you generally use a flatter swing plane for fairway and hybrids? That could be it. A few years back I could hit my fairway wood well. But since then I have gotten to be a much better iron player so stopped using my 5 wood. Could be attacking it too much like an iron.

Yes, shallowing out my downswing a bit more when hitting the hybrid and Fairways and attempting to take less of a divot as opposed to my irons really helped me.. once I got comfortable with that I stopped carrying a 3 & 4 iron.
I replaced my 4 iron with a 21 degree hybrid and my 3 iron with a 5 wood set at 17 degree.. I also carry a 13 degree 3 wood as well

I have a 4H and 4 UDI. I got back and forth. Right now, the irons are good and so is the UDI.

I couldn't hit the my hybrid well to save my life. I watched a video and realized that my hands were very low at set up. I got the handle up a little higher and its made a huge difference. Went from pulling left to high straight shots.
Can be 100% your set up.
