I did Amino Vital for a couple of seasons, but really didn't notice any real benefit.

Because of Covid now, it can be hit or miss finding a cart girl on every course, so I have been freezing bottles of water and Gatorade and storing them in my bag just in case.

I usually carry a peanut butter chip Larabar in the bag as well.

Always willing to try out new ideas since I am not as young as I use to be.

My dad always keep an ice chest of Florida water and a couple rags. Dip the rags and wipe your face down. Felt incredible.

Definitely. I always get the worst migraines after a round this time of year. The Florida water at least helped to keep it at bay.

There’s a golf sports performance coach named John Paul Guidry based on the Northshore. He says that a lot of fatigue on the golf course is nutrition based... dehydration obviously, but people not eating enough prior to and during the round. You’re running out of fuel. Not a bad idea to get some sugar and caffeine coming down the stretch.

I drink a protein shake with cytogreens mix prior to warming up on the range. Typically tee off at 9am. At 10am I drink a bottle of water with vitamin C mix. At the turn I get celery and peanut butter with a Gatorade then on hole 14 I drink a B12 energy packet with another water. Typically don’t get tired unless I drink heavily the night before and am already dehydrated.

I like this too and will try it.

I usually try to eat pasta the night before, not sure how much it helps.

I am 64, but I typically have good stamina and I don't feel my age at all.

I do notice now by #16, I slow down a little.

I have some and bought it a CVS here in town. Not all of them have it so you may have to ask the person to see what stores carry it in town.

Bopper - We need to meet up and play golf.

I am looking to put a group together tomorrow afternoon at my club or at Memorial around 1pm if you want to play.

Yes, we need together.

I am heading out to San Antonio tomorrow for the week.

Be careful with this heat tomorrow.

I have also been keeping ice water and a rag on the cart. Intermittently I will just soak my neck and arms with the Icey cold wet rag. It helps a lot. I stay soaking wet but it keeps you cool.

I just got Liquid IV.

It’s a drink mix that is filled with electrolytes. Got it from Costco and used 2 on the course yesterday. Heat index was at 113.

Try to eat lots of protein before playing too. Make a 3 egg and turkey bacon burrito and eat a Greek yogurt before playing.

I bought that puma Hawaii collection shirt Friday morning. That thing feels like I’m not even wearing a shirt. I came home and ordered 2 more.

What exactly do you do with Florida water? Drink it or just soak a towel in it and wipe down?

Florida Water is a cologne that, when poured in ice water, will keep you cool. Do not drink!

I will typically eat as much protein as I can before the round. If I’m playing in the afternoon then I’ll grab 2 grilled chicken breasts from the restaurant. I’ll usually make a peanut butter/jelly that I eat on 10. My issue is the alcohol intake while I’m playing. I’ll usually have a 32 yeti filled with 2 shots of vodka and some seltzer water and then have another one in the back 9. Due to the heat I’m drinking it more so there are times I’ll get another 2 shots in there around #16.
