I have planters fasciitis that flared up mid Rona season. I was walking every other day before that. I just personally couldn’t handle the heat trying to walk now, but I’m also not in great shape. (Might be some connection there, lol)

Start drinking water hours before your round. I like to cut whatever sports drink with about half water. During the round drink several water bottles of said half and half. Also eat some salty snacks.

Also, just being out in the heat helps your body acclimate. Don’t hang out in AC all week and expect to be able to handle peak summer heat.

Sounds gross. Why not just alternate sports drink and water?

Yes, a small 6-12 pack ice chest will work depending on the size of towels you use. I usually put about 3 dishcloth size towels rolled up in the bottom of a 6 pack cooler. Cover with ice, add about 1/4 of bottle of Florida water, and enough tap water to get the towels wet.

I've never heard of Florida water but I'm going to try it now. I bet one of those Frogg Toggs Chilly Pad cooling towels would be great for this.

I feel like muscle cramps would only happen if you are walking 18, and I can’t imagine people walking in this heat. I’ve never had a problem with cramping playing golf though. I think I’m going to pull the trigger on some Florida water. Do y’all just keep it in a small ice chest?

I still walk 18. I don't do it in peak heat though, usually try to tee off pretty early. I've never had an issue with cramps. I just try to drink plenty of water and a gatorade, liquid iv or something to keep enough sodium and electrolytes in my system
