Upgrading my wedges and I got some jet black vokeys. The tag on them says they rust. However I don’t remember seeing that on the website.

Is that just typical for them?

No, depends on the finish

I believe jet black and raw are the two finishes that rust.

Damn did not realize that. I thought it was only raw. Not sure if I will like it or not but I guess I need to get used to it now.

Odd, I have 2 black SM9's I've had for well over a year and neither of those have rusted.. They aren't really black anymore either..

I've played both raw and chrome wedges and I've never noticed any difference except for look.

Raw wedges are the only ones that rust. I’ve had Jet Black wedges and they do not rust.

I have a jet black Vokey that has very minor rust on it, so I disagree

They will all rust if you leave them outside long enough

My jet black Vokeys have a sticker on them that say they will rust.

Mine sit in a conditioned bag room at my country club so I guess they will take a while.

Thats nice for you. I was talking to the guy with rust on his jet black wedge. Congrats on the air conditioning at the CC though.

Mine sit in a golf bag in my garage. They don’t rust. Not even the ones that I haven’t played with in a couple years.

You might be onto something there.

Try a forged wedge. Lightyears softer.

Vokeys are not forged.

What brand forged do you recommend? I’m in the market and hate Vokeys. Used Cleveland’s in the past but want a different feel. Currently gaming Mizuno’s.
