Trying to figure where to play in or around Dallas for the LSU-Miami game. What's the nicest public course? price not a concern

I’ve played Tour 18 and The Tribute there. Both are pretty neat. Tour 18 you play replicas of PGA and Major holes... 17 at Sawgrass and Amen corner is the finish. The Tribute is replicas of British Open Holes. You start on 1 at St Andrews and the finish is the Road Hole and the 18th. Both are fun places to play.

If you’re driving up from South Loisisana, Pine Dunes in Frankston is pretty highly rated as far as public access courses in TX go.

There's much better places to play in the Metroplex if price isn't an issue. Tour 18 is fine, but if you have one round don't use it here

Agree totally. Just thought it would be something different and fun that you can’t do everywhere. It was in great shape when I played it, but it’s been a longish time.

ehh I think Cowboys is the best public course in the area. Costs $180 but includes all food and drink except booze.

Tribute has gone down hill

I've heard good things about Texas Star, but I haven't played it in like 4 years.

Never played Old American, but I've heard good things as well.

If you can play there without having to stay at the hotel, do it.
