For me, pace of play can make or break my ability to deal with the heat and humidity.

Back nine at Webble Beach(I know) today turned into an epic Santa Maria-level jam up and it quickly became miserable just sitting there for 20 minutes waiting to tee off every hole.

Also, I habitually take my glove off immediately after every shot and hold it up and out while the cart is moving. Keeps it relatively dry and playable.

Hell yes. I’m going to sweat my dick off either way, just the way it is, but if I’m moving on along I don’t mind the heat. It’s when you’re having to wait and it’s just beating down on you that I can take it or leave it.

I live on a course and see the same 15-20 old bastards out there close to every day. Doesn’t matter if its 105 degrees, raining sideways, or frost on the ground.

This was my grandfather after retirement. He needed the routine of doing something every day. Even after he physically couldn’t play every day anymore, he still went out there to ride along with his group and played as much as he could.

Played one of our local 9 hole courses on both Saturday and Sunday this past weekend. We started at 7:30 am. That's insanely early, but it was also nice to be done with 18 holes by 10am, and it actually felt kinda nice Sunday morning. Had to play an emergency 9 and finished that by 11:30.

Driving range in the summer is way more miserable than actually playing

This for sure. If in a cart and the course isn’t busy you are moving and getting that wind so not that bad. Chill under a tree every once in a while.

Having done both, I'm starting to come to the conclusion that playing early in the morning before the humidity has burned off is more miserable than playing later in the day when it's just plain hot outside. I sweat so much more when it's 85 with 92% humidity than I do later in the day. That in turn means it's harder to keep my hands and arms and gloves dry and end up playing worse.
