I played Saturday it was overcast and about 44 degrees.

You won’t play your best round but it’s still fine if you wear under layers. I worr ski gear and a beanie, two gloves.

Played a couple of years back, winter storm had everything shut down. Got to the course set up my push cart and walked 36 holes. It was 28 when I got out and 31 when I got back in! Had a blast!

Today! Temp: 37. Wind from north at 18-20. I had nothing else to do, so put on 3 layers upper AND lower. Found I had to aim 10-20 yards left, since I couldn't swing freely. Actually scored well somehow. Had the course to myself obviously.

Depends on rain and wind.

50. No wind. No moisture.

I've walk off course in 65 degrees with wind and rain that would have stopped the Open.

Worst I've ever played in was 44 with a 25 mph wind and so cloudy you couldn't see the sun.

Generally it has to be at least 40 degrees. If rain is a possibility move it into the 50s.

Coldest actual temp I've played was 20 and overcast with slight wind and ice when I was in my 20's - I had gotten my father in law interested in golf a year or two earlier and the guy loved te game so much that he played every day regardless of weather - worst conditions was about 10 years ago when I was in my early 50s - Whistling Straits 38 degrees with 35 mph sustained winds and continual rain and sleet. Customer golf with 2 foursomes and no carts - just caddies - everyone was determined to play despite my apprehension - spent $250 each for green fees and $500-1000 each for custom rain suits and head to toe winter garb all with black Whistling Straits logos - six players quit after 5 holes - two customers and I played the entire 18 - low score with all players handicap below 7 .....94. I hit full 6 iron on the Snake hole from 95 yds out and came up 5 yds short. Everyone's black rain gear was completely white from absorbing the sleet. Spent 2 hours in the custom Kohler shower trying to thaw my body - barely made it to the dinner table that night.

Give me no wind and full sunshine and I can layer up and play in 32 degree weather - wind and wet is the driver for me.
