Man, for my money Carters is mint! The greens are excellent (very fast) but excellent. The Tee boxes are beautiful. The fairways are top notch. You can usually catch a decent deal on GolfNow, but I was busy in the afternoon and had to play in the morning so it was $70.

Also my chip in for Bogey on 10 was pretty nice lol.

It’s the best deal for golf in the state.

Carter is one of my favorite places to play. Not a bad drive from NOLA and always in good shape.

Love carter. Wish we had 2 more options like Carter in this area. And maybe it’s changed as I haven’t been out there in months. But pace of play was a nightmare. Obviously snagging a mid week afternoon round may not have that problem.

Always like Carter but the time management of play is bad and last time I went we started on the old front nine instead of Number 1 across the street. It’s poorly designated. Really screwed up our day by the time we noticed it.

I concur. Course is in excellent shape right now for the conditions(2 recent rounds there) and the management of tee times were less than satisfactory to be honest. Took us over 4&1/2 hrs to finish and this was starting at 10am

10:00 is prime time, 4.5 hours is about right. Marshalls are notoriously lazy old freeloaders with zero Interest in pace of play. Rather they are there to look for balls and play 5 free rounds a week.

There are the normal clog-up spots like #5 where some go for the green or #12 where guys think they can get home in 2. #1 has been across the street for a couple of years now, it forces players past the restaurant/bathrooms at the turn. I love it, it’s def my home course. The super is literally super.

I've gotten my 3 wood across the green in 2 on #12 from gold .... it's happened once out of 5 tries

Guys stand 275 from that green with their hands on their hips waiting all day there. Nice try for most.

What hole are y'all talking about. I always get confused with the swapped 9s but neither have 12 as causing a delay.

I believe it’s #13. Long par 5 water on the left in between two really hard par 3’s.

Ok. That makes sense. But that is the only truly reachable par 5 out there, especially since they've taken out all the trees. You gotta go for that one if you have a chance.

I was wondering same thing. Regardless of the old way or new, #12 would be a Par 3.

With the new setup, #13 is a Par 5 that plays roughly 470 from the one-ups. It's not nearly the bitch that #4 is with its length and OB left (internal) and OB right

You’re right, I meant #13.
