Playing Cabo Del Sol, Palmilla & Quivira! Gonna be a good week, whether I shoot 75 or 95!

I’ve played two of those and they were the nicest courses I’ve ever played.

Quivera is special.
Del Sol was closed when we went. Palmilla is solid.

Where are you staying. I have been toying with the idea of putting a Cabo trip together.

Played Cabo Del Sol yesterday shot 86. Had 2 triples but otherwise was solid round. I hit a drive into the desert on 17 which was a long tough hole and the other had a chip come back to my feet twice! Pin was sitting right on top of a false front!

Reading the putts is tough for a Louisiana boy, everything breaks away from the mountain. Tough to train the eye for that, had a few 3 putts. Course was in PERFECT condition. I played there in 2019 also and played Quivira last year. Can’t wait to play Quivira again!

Any info or experience from anyone on Palmilla? Playing it Saturday and never played it before.

Cabo del sol ocean course is awesome, have played it twice. Good tacos at the turn that will help any hangover. The tides were high the last time i played it, you could feel the mist from waves crashing on the tee box at par 3 17. There was water where the beach normally is. Not an experience i am use to on the gulf coast

I am dying to play Quivira

One of the courses has a air conditioning type gadget on the back of the cart - after several beers and a few tequila shots a buddy of mine put the hose from the a/c unit down his pants. It’s was hilarious

Played Quivira today, shot 81. Hit the ball well. The course has a TON of construction going on around it. New resort, club house expansion and houses/villas but it was awesome as usual! The views and course quality are fantastic!

Overall Cabo Del Sol was in better condition but mostly due to the construction. 17 is just a par 3 right now with a green cut into the old fairway to allow for construction traffic. But Quivira is awesome and construction or not if you get a chance, play it!!!

Palmilla was good course and the Ocean 9 was much better than the Mountain 9. Shot 85 on Palmilla and wasn't striking the ball well, but by the end of the week the tequila was starting to wear on me! Course was in fantastic condition but after playing Cabo Del Sol and Quivira it was definitely #3 in the group but that's a tough group! But what a great golf week!
