The Alotian club says hello, even though none of us will ever get to play it!

I’ve gotten to play around 20 of the top 100 courses including Alotian. It’s my favorite, ahead of Cypress, Olympic, Pebble and the Long Island Clubs. I’ve never been able to play Augusta, but have been during non tournament time and it’s a very similar feel. It’s truly an incredible place.

Blessings is also better in Arkansas, as is Chenal, but Texarkana is sweet.

I disagree, but I will approve a debate of this. Great course.

Pleasant Valley

Another great course, not better than TCC though.

Mystic

Mystic is quickly becoming the most overrated couse ever for me. There are few little things of no consequence at all that bother me more than Mystic moving ahead of TCC on golf digest top courses list But not surprising because they didn't visit TCC last year.

Heck no, not even close.

The YT video dropped today. SPOILER, this course is hard

Even though it slightly kicked his butt a little he was very complimentary of the course the entire time. Comparing it to Augusta quite often. Said if he designed a course it would be similar style to this with the lines and slopes.

Wish he would have come this month instead of last month because the course really greened up the past two weeks and looks pristine instead of dead grass roughs. Azaleas are starting to bloom in some spots. But course still looked really good on TV for it being February.

Didn't realize 14 was once considered one of the best holes in America. It's certainly one of the toughest and he took an angle that that isn't on the table for 99.9% of golfers on the planet. Had a bogey to show for it.

That's officially my first ever full length you tube golf video that I've ever watched. He is so dang analytical with everything. Obviously already knew that but when you hear him break down every single shot and putt you see his mind is clearly wired different.

Tifdwarf Bermuda if I'm not mistaken. I think a hybrid Bermuda on the fairways which are lush lush. He commented on the fairways being really soft. That was something that took me a little bit getting used to when I first started playing there. I was used to a lot of North LA tight lies and hard pan chipping.

I played Texarkana CC about 10 years ago. Wasnt expecting much as Texarkana is kinda an armpit

Walk out onto the course and said WTF. Course is beautiful and the “little augusta” thing is legit. How that town can keep a place like that with reasonable monthly dues is incredible.

This is pretty much the general consensus of everybody who plays there the first time. i know it was when I did too. I joined that day.

Doing a 300K practice facility upgrade and apparently the club has about a million dollars in the bank. Should stay nice for the foreseeable future. You get the membership to Northridge CC as well which it in itself is a nice course too.

Thanks for sharing that. I played there a couple of times as a junior. Always loved the course and the vibe. Like stepping back in time.
