“There's a lot of moving parts like in any business. It’s a startup, right? And so there's going to be times where we're squeezed and punched. This is one of those moments. But I'm going to do everything in my power to make it work and I really see the value in franchise golf.
“And, you know, another reason why I'm doing this is not just for myself and the team aspect that I really believe in on the Crushers side. It's for Michael LaSasso. It's for Caleb Surratt. It's for Josele Ballester. It's for David Puig.
“Jon, Phil, DJ, myself and the guys that have been here from the start, we’re okay. It’s now our responsibility to take care of these kids that believe in us. That’s why I'm really doing it. There's so much value to squeeze out of this whole thing for golf in general.”
With his current contract up at the end of this year, how are his negotiations going for a renewal?
“We're still working on a potential contract. I haven’t given up on that and I think there will be a solution. But as of right now, my job is to help make the league work after this year. I just feel like I have a responsibility. I've put a lot of effort into it. So that’s what I’m going to do, we’re going to make this work.”
When asked what happens if they can’t make it work, he doubled down:
“As long as LIV is here, I would figure out a way for it to make sense.”
There’s been much speculation about Bryson DeChambeau’s future over the last few months, and now you have it from the man himself. Pay attention to those who widely shared “reports” of Bryson looking for options outside of LIV Golf but don’t aggregate these quotes. They are not trustworthy news sources.

This is fricking classic Bryson
He is doing it for the young kids of LIv,
As long as he gets laid 100s of millions to do it
Who falls for his shite still?

If Bryson is playing on LIV in 2027, then he’s *reportedly* not getting a big Saudi payday.
It’s funny you are always laughing when you’re wrong.
“LIV is done. They may not tee it up in Mexico, but if they do it will be their last one.” WRONG
“LIV Nola is in doubts” WRONG
“Bryson is on the way out” WRONG
Who cares as long you get to stir the pot & get your laughs in

Nothing you just said is factual

It’s factual that you said all 3 things

Post history is a thing or are you gonna say that you were just posting information from others?
Bryson appears to be on the way out
LIV Nola in doubts
Rumor is LIV is done
Keep in mind, none of these articles/tweets said that Bryson was on his way out or that LIV Nola was in doubts. That was your own spin

1. Bryson in his own words is saying he is weighing options
2. Liv Nola people are verbatim saying they have doubts of the tournament. Not me, The actual officials running the damn tournament
3. Liv confirmed the funding rumors . I would love for you to show where I ever said LIV would not play Mexico or stop right after Mexico. Go ahead

All of those are mostly taken out of context. It sounds like he wasn’t even sure LIV will be around in 2027. That’s probably the reasoning behind his team talking options at the Masters. I assume there is some truth to that.
I don’t think people just make statements like this:

You beleive if LIv exists in 2027 with no guaranteed contracts and greatly reduced tournament purses due to lack of funding that Bryson will still play on LIV?

Assuming it’s their first tournament next year, if LIV Hong Kong actually takes place on 2/18-2/21 - yes I think Bryson will be there

"There's so much value to squeeze out of this whole thing for golf in general."
This pretty much says it all about professional golf in 2026. We're not here to build a legacy, make things more sustainable, or serve the fans. We just need to squeeze out whatever value we can while we can.
I don't know exactly when it's coming but a lot of these guys are in for a rude awakening when the people fronting the money come to the same realization that PIF did about what the market for professional golf looks like outside of the majors and the Ryder Cup. $20-30 million dollar purses for tournaments that 95% of golf fans couldn't care less about just ain't it.

People will continue to pick apart his words & use them out of context.
He clearly isn’t talking about a financial value in that statement

I don't disagree, but this is a trait of highly analytical people across multiple fields. Bryson is probably the most analytical guy in professional golf and is willing to try absolutely anything that could logically give him a scientific edge within the rules. I mean he's pulled out a compass on an approach shot. Plays with same length irons to eliminate a variable, floats his golf balls to test for perfect symmetry, and is clearly a math nut. When you do everything right "based on your calculations" and it goes wrong, the analytical brain has a tendency to blame one of the variables
Essentially I am agreeing the the behavior is very off putting, but I genuinely don't think he can help it

So what value is he talking about? The satisfaction that David Puig will feel knowing that he was able to bring professional team golf to Singapore? The intangibles that Michael La Sasso will pick up while hitting next to Brendan Steele on the renovated driving range at Bayou Oaks?

The exact things you were criticizing
If he & Rahm actually choose to stay with LIV in 2027, they’re obviously not doing it for the money.
More insight from Bryson about his injury

If those are his priorities, why is he holding out on signing a new contract and asking to be paid hundreds of millions of dollars up front? Wouldn't it be better for the long-term viability of LIV for him to take whatever he earns through his play and allow LIV to invest the rest of the money back into the league? If it's true that he's asking for $500 million, that could more than cover the team and individual purses for the entire 2027 season.
