Do they pair them up?

They should to get some excitement in this tourney (that coming from someone that thinks it’s childish or driven for $10 million hype award money). This currently feels like a typical PGA tour event right now, largely due to a boring major venue.

Not only did they not pair them together, they separated them by a half hour.

That’s not how third and fourth round pairings work. It’s first in last out. Bryson finished before Brooks so he goes out after.

That’s not how pairings work on the weekend.

It’s not as much the venue itself as much as the fact they play a regular tournament there every year

Pairing in the weekend start highest total to lowest, with the tie breaker being previous rounds score. Brooks had the worst 2nd round of the evens so he will tee first, Bryson had one of the best 2nd rounds for level par overall.
They had no possible way to be paired when Bryce finished even in the morning under par for the round.

Wrong. If players are tied going into the third round then first in last out is used. They are both even, but Bryson finished his third round first, so Bryson tees off later.
