Sorry this is random, but I got to play Bluejack last week with a friend of mine. Not incredibly difficult, but man what a well kept course. Zoysia everything. Pure class.
If y’all are ever given the opportunity to play there, do it. You won’t regret it

Yea I doubt you find someone that will deny that invite. If you do, I’ll gladly take their place.

I know you got excited when they called your name and where you are from on the first tee?

I have been invited, but turned it down. I will probably go next time. I hear the short lighted course is cool.

Yes they do announce you.

What are initiation and dues, about $100k/$1k?

I wasn’t announced. I guess because I was playing with one of the assistants?

How does it stack up against 3 Jack National? I heard that track will be the tits when it’s done.

Isn’t that a TW designed course? His courses are generally boring as hell with 1 signature hole.

Played it once and really enjoyed it.
I loved it when it was Blaketree National too.
I have played Carlton Woods several times and I think that I like Bluejack better.
Has anyone played Woodforest Fish Creek lately ?

The short course was a big letdown.

Yes it is a TW designed course. It’s not brutally difficult, just in incredibly good shape. Plus it has all kind of perks like multiple stops during the round to get food and drinks. One stop is a guy smoking a brisket. The other is a walk through a country store where you can grab candies and treats. It almost reminds me of a carnival experience and yes, every time I have played there I have been announced.

That’s the old Blaketree clubhouse/pro shop

Extremely playable course that I really enjoyed. I barely even chipped around the greens because the fringe rolls so true. You can putt from everywhere. They also make it even more playable by adjusting the tees based on the wind everyday.
The morning round is fun, but it’s not the best part. If you have a chance to spend the weekend out there the afternoon was what won me over. It’s extremely relaxed and people go play the course barefoot and in tshirts. Either go play a fun gambling game with the guys or take the family out there to hit some balls on the course and drink. People walking dogs and everything. If you have a chance to spend the weekend there it’s all about the whole experience. It’s an awesome place to be a member I’m sure.

That's the old cottage that you could rent and crash in.

They have a bunch of what looks like townhomes by the clubhouse. The member I usually go out there with told me they are rentals. I guess lots of members and guests come out there and get so spun up taking it all in that they need a place to crash for the night. It’s bizarre to say the least but super fun because you will see people driving carts damn near to the greens with music blaring wearing no shoes with the most laid back attitude but they have a caddie which runs with them the entire round giving them yardages and pointers. I would love to be a member there if I lived closer.

Those cottages go for $500K+, we played with a member who lived in the Austin area that owned one.
From the pro shop the one on the front far right is the “members lounge”
There was an attendant in there with showers on both floors decked out with literally anything you could need.

115k and 18k a year. Closed about a month a year in the summer to let it rest. Clubhouse being built now and of course all of the other family friendly things for kids. Wonderful family environment without a doubt.
Golf course is made to enjoy your round but during tournaments like member guest etc they get the greens cooking and it gets much harder.
If you come to Houston for business I would highly suggest a National Membership. .
