He did with the US am, 3x individual NCAA champ, won a PGA tour event as an amateur, won back to back in his first two senior/champions tour starts, and the oldest person ever to win a major. I'd say that he's earned the right to talk some trash.

I watched some of his YouTube stuff during Covid. Back then he was a good story teller. Interesting, smart, witty, humorous. He almost became a shell of himself after LIV. I get why he left, but he could have peacefully co-existed on the tour and rode off into the sunset.
