Planning a trip to Atlanta, GA. Any recommendations on a good course to play??

Other people probably know better than me, but I don’t love public golf in Atlanta. Bobby Jones is fun, but the vast majority of good golf courses in Atlanta are all private.

See if your pro can get you a reciprocal deal to play at Druid Hills. I did this a couple of summers ago & it was a fantastic experience.

East Lake too
East Lake is closed for renovations until the Tour Championship.
And know going in that you have to walk and take a caddie if you do manage to get on. It's worth playing once, but I don't have to do it again.

I am also looking at playing a round near Atlanta on the way to a Masters practice round. Does anyone have any input about Hawk’s Ridge about an hour north of Atlanta? Ease of getting on if my club pro calls?

Druid Hills if you can get on is a blast and close to downtown

Researched pretty hard for a golf round in the city of Atlanta this past summer. Landed at Bobby Jones, was fun for a 9 hole track.
Would recommend driving an hour north of Atlanta, that’s where all the options are.

Doubtful to the best of my recollection.

I researched this a lot back in the summer, and anything within 10 or 15 miles of downtown looks like a minor shite show at best. Ended up playing a place called The Frog in Villa Rica. It was good fun and in good condition. Wanna play Echelon and Stone Mountain at some point.
