Does anybody use the Arccos system? I'm looking to get better at tracking stats and keeping track of strokes gained/lost and want to leverage this technology.

If so, do you have the sensors or the grips? Any feedback? Seems like a very cool piece of technology.

TIA!

I have the gen2 sensors that screw on to my grips, I specifically bought the gen2 because they don't require a subscription to use. They are great and require very minimal input during a round, mostly to clean up the occasional putt or chip.

I'd buy them again, although I don't know if I would do the gen3 that require a subscription. It's probably worth it I'm just admittedly in a subscription fatigue.

I use it. It can be distracting during a round but all in all it’s a great system. Very helpful. I recommend getting the ones that screw into the butt of your grip. If you change your grips you have to pay for new sensors each time.

I know this is about Arccos, but I've had the similar Shotscope V3 for a couple of years now. I like it a lot. You mentioning your issues with Arccos made me think it might be helpful to give some info on the Shotscope.

I am not sure how Arccos works, but with Shotscope the only times you have to do something other than play normal golf is to log your putts on the watch when you stand over the hole and put in penalties. I will say there is a bit of maintenance to do on the computer post round, but I sort of enjoy it as a way to think about what went well and poorly during a round. They do recommend that you take practice swings near your ball so the sensor can be more accurate where a shot is taken from. So, if that is not something you normally do, it can be distracting.

As for the sensors. I've actually had a couple break and fall off during a round. I let Shotscope know, and they just mailed me new ones.

I've had buddies use the Arccos sensor. They said it was alright and really appreciated the yardage information. I use a Garmin Fenix watch on the course and it tracks shots so I'm getting some of that info now but keep wanting to get the Approach C10 sensors. A good watch is another option. Agree that the screw in sensors are the way to go so they stay with you when you upgrade or swap grips.

I use Golf Pad. The screw into the but of your grips. I keep my phone in my left front pocket, and scan the club before each swing. There is also an app for my Samsung watch. Great customer service.
$99 for 15 or 16 tags, $20 a year for the app service.
