59 in impressive anywhere but it is more impressive on PGA Tour than LIV as there is actual pressure involved.

What pressure? Not like there’s a cut this weekend.

Impressive sure, but it’s less exciting because I just saw another golfer do it yesterday

The greens have been so slow this week. I’m sure it’s hard for them to get used to greens rolling at a 10 on the stimp.

Everyone has missed that putt a hair left. Interested to see if he can read it correctly.

Last three putts were in the heart and left short. Miss 100% of putts you don’t get to the hole!

Despite those misses, Wyndham made history today setting the course record at one of the most famous courses in all of golf. It was an historical day for Wyndham and the game of golf.

Meanwhile, Jon Rahm hit balls in shorts with Kygo blaring in the background.

Such a sad, contrasting state of affairs.

History wasn’t made in Mayokoba yesterday when Joaquin Niemann set the course record with a 59?

(& Niemann actually wore pants with Kygo blaring in the background)

Serious question. You think that LIV golf at Mayokaba compares to the history that is the Pebble Beach pro-am? This tournament goes back the when pro golf was a blue collar sport and it was more prestigious to be an amateur. The Crosby Clambake.

Pebble Beach. The host of major championships.

Serious question this is the same to you? They are comparable?

Yeah, I really don’t care about the history of pebble beach or any other PGA course for that matter.
Neither do most of the other golfers who left the PGA Tour, I imagine

Speaking of historic courses:

Gotcha. You aren’t a fan of the history of the game and that’s fine. You probably have never heard of Ken Venturi and Harvie Ward and you likely had to Google Crosby Clambake and that, again, is totally fine.

But that does not mean that the history of the game does not exist.

Jaco Niemann’s 59 is incredibly impressive. But there have been 59s on the Korn Ferry tour, sunshine tour, Japanese tour, etc. Jaco probably has a handful of 59s and/or course records outside of professional competition. But again it just doesn’t mean anything in the history of golf. So, there is no comparison.

Is this where we pretend that these dudes left the PGA Tour for something other than HUNDREDS of millions of dollars? Jon Rahm has countless quotes about how important the history of the game is to him. Bryson wore a Ben Hogan style hat for years.

I’ll give you Brooks Koepka he actually probably doesn’t give a frick.
