Its been a long time and a lot of afternoons at Freds since then, so you may be correct.. The only thing I can attest to with 100% certainty is that Mike Johnson had a great eye for talent when hiring pro-shop cashiers.

The golf team never played their matches on the LSU Golf Course. The LSU Golf course is part of the recreation department not athletic. Before the U-club opened, they played at CCLA. Not sure before that, maybe Sherwood. In the 50s they played at Westdale CC which became Webb.
