2020 was a huge letdown IMO.
Of the games I played I guess I'll go Doom Eternal.
On radar for next year:

Hades is my GOTY. MSFS runner up.

I’m sorry, Animal Crossing is the game of the year. Just with Covid and the emphasis of socialization and kindness in the game is a godsend. Now am I saying it’s the best game of the year? No, but I don’t see an argument how it’s not the most important. It sold a metric frickton due to it being a uniquely good game to play during a pandemic. There will hopefully never be a time where you have to call for Animal Crossing on mass as a society again to remain sane.

Completely revamped the entire leveling experience and cut the time to get to max level in half. The new expansion is being received very well. 3.7 million copies sold on launch. Current record holder for all PC games.

Gran Turismo
It is the only reason I am buying a PS5 for myself. I’ll get other games so the wifeunit doesn’t get pissed but GT7 is why I’m buying 2 PS5s.

My favorite game released in 2020 was Disaster Report 4. But that one definitely is not for everyone.
I'm looking forward to Elden Ring, which I assume will come out next year (and hopefully on PS4 and not just PS5).
