Saw a couple of positive reviews for this game, thinking about picking it up to play with my 4 year old. Anyone familiar with the other games in this series? Would it be worth it for him? He loves Mario Odyssey.

Yeah I mean I think that game would be great for a four year old.
Not so great for anyone over the age of 8 though
I played the demo and cancelled my pre-order

Wooly Yoshi is so cute. We found around 15 Wooly Yoshi Amibos at Walmart for $3/ea in mixed colors along with the Big Yoshi for $5. They make solid toys for puppies.

Reminds me a lot of Yoshi's Story on the N64. Great game. Will prob get this if it's on sale.

My 5 year old LOVES this demo. It's enough for her to just play through the demo right now, but I know we're going to have to get this game before long.

If you still had Big Yoshi that your dog didn't eat, I'd buy him.

This. Played the demo, and disliked it a lot. It definitely looks good, but I thought the gameplay was awful. They did a poor job of mixing in 3D elements of the game. I actually really like Yoshi's Wooly World, but the gameplay on WW was a lot tighter than CW.
On top of that, it's $60 for an 8-10 hour game. Maybe if it ever drops to $30, it might be worth it. But yea, the demo killed any desire to play the game.

Definitely a kids game, and not in the mario sense.

Game is extremely well done. My 6 and 3 year olds love it. The guys reviewing it all seriously on YouTube are hilarious. It’s a kids game you fricking dorks, of course it’s going to be easy.

Yea, it’s actually really good IMO.
People need to understand it’s intenionally made for kids.
We like it a lot.
