the CPU already has a system in place for illegitimate trades to be X'd so i see no need in giving that dude the power to veto trades

It's not just for his approval. It's to make sure everyone in the league is okay with the move. We all have a vested interest in making sure the competitive balance isn't lost.
The CPU will accept a Brady for 1, 2, 3 trade. Doesn't mean it should be made.
To delve deeper: I can in theory trade all my draft picks for short-term gain. You guys would all get frustrated with my stacked team and I wouldn't take a hit until much later. That's not cool.

not gonna argue with that, because i've never tried to trade for tom brady, but i've tried in my offline leagues to trade two first rounders and a second for antonio brown and they wouldn't accept... i even offered THREE first rounders and they still wouldn't accept...

this could go either way, and i understand that.. but this is the same problem i have with the controlling assholes in fantasy football... (not directed towards you gleaux i'm mostly talking FF and madden trading) but who the hell are y'all to tell me what value my players or the players i'm trading for??? if both parties are happy and think the trade is fair, then where's the harm in that?? again, i'm not directing this towards you specifically but to everyone in general
