I will say this. I was playing Palworld on Xbone. Downloaded the game ran like shite. Like literally couldn't play the last quarter of the game. On cloud it ran perfectly. This is a little upsetting. I'm cancelling gamepass right now.

Interesting. This is the first time I've ever seen anyone claim a game runs better streaming rather than downloaded. I'll have to test this for myself.

Was this with the latest, full retail version of Palworld?

Because XBOX cares so much about physical media, I believe their partnership with TCL requires TCL to add disc drives to their tvs.

Game Pass has nothing to do with games sales. This is like saying Playstation is stopping selling physical media because of Playstation Plus. It's simply not a comparable revenue stream. You're comparing apples and oranges in a braindead attempt to dunk on XBOX for some weird reason.

But to stay on topic: What are Playstation's streaming offerings outside of Playstation consoles? What is the cheapest per month payment to get cloud streaming through a Playstation subscription, and how many devices allow you to utilize that service? Since this XBOX announcement is so awful to you Sony fanbois, clearly Playstation must be offering a better, more useful service. Right?

Yeah 1.0. Got to the cloud islands and game would crash downloaded. Uninstalled and played on Cloud and had zero issues. Finished the game and even played some late game content.

It would stutter from time to time. A little lag issue I'm assuming but it never crashed.

Were you trying to fly to the cloud islands? I've seen reports that flying there is bugged and can cause the game to crash. Here's a post on Facebook from a few weeks ago about how to work around that. Some people did say to use your method of playing on the cloud but also it seems like not flying there fixes the problem.

There were also issues with overheating during the early access but that appears to have been fixed.

I tried everything. Going to a random waypoint then waypointing to the sky islands. Turning down settings. I would last maybe 10 seconds then the game would crash. On cloud it ran perfectly.

That's wild. Sorry man, that sucks. I'd be pissed off too. Hopefully Palworld/XBOX get that figured out before this change goes into effect in November.

Wow.

What a terrible idea.

If you are going to do that…at least make the hours make more sense like wtf..

15 hours a month for you top service….that would last me a week…maybe.

What a slap to the face of the consumer.

I see why they are limiting it now.

You actually use cloud streaming? Outside of the dude itt who is having issues with Palworld, most of the response to this from XBOX gamers that I've seen has been "big deal," just like my reaction here. I'm always shocked when people tell me they actually use the streaming service.

Honestly, I want to know how you guys get this to work effectively without lag ruining playtime.

I’ve been Xbox for over 20 years and I have thought forever they would win in the end with cloud gaming.

If this is something that will be permanent, they might be fricked. First time since the PS2 I’m considering getting a PlayStation the next generation instead of an Xbox
