Because enemies pop outta nowhere and sometimes it's the first thing to do. I get MAYBE two hit detections and try to stay on it but can't for some reason.

What you need is a shotgun secondary. I love the heck out of my SWAT but it is absolutely pitiful up close. If my equipment serves its purpose then I can wheel around and deal with rushers with my shotgun.
