X Box One worth repairing?

Kids console isnt reading discs. Microsoft's support site sucks. Is it worth fixing, or should I take what Gamestop offers and buy him a new one?

My guess is “take the trade in, buy a new one”.
Repairing one will likely cost a good chunk and is not guaranteed to fix it.
A new one is probably below $200 due to Black Friday right now so may as well get the new one.
