With the rise of the "metaverse", does Sony bring back "PlayStation Home"?

I remember being in college and on late nights/mornings screwing around with folks. I remember it having arcade games, bowling, pool, movie trailer theaters, malls, etc. You could even launch games from it. i think you even had your own apartment at some point. It's crazy to think Sony had a working version of this and scrapped it due to lack of interest at the time. It was on PS3 after all.

can y'all imagine a game like GTA being its own "world"? instead of it filled with NPCs, it literally hosts millions of people based within the city.

one of my local news stations did a piece on it, and the mentioned that snoop dog built a place on some platform called "the sandbox". then, someone bought the virtual space next door to him for $410,000.

is this "manifest destiny" in a digital sense?

There’s a group that is trying to restore home. You can currently run a offline version on pc or hacked ps3.
