Witcher 3 or Bloodborne? I know nothing about these.

I am looking for a game that let's me be creative in building and powering a character up with a completely open world (ala Skyrim) that has immense playability.
The story is secondary to me. I want a game that is fun, intuitive, allows me to be creative, immerses me, and is long lasting.
I've heard these games basically offer those things but I only want one at this time so which one delivers over the other?

Bloodborne is amazing but more about mechanics and atmosphere than anything. It's also very frustrating/rewarding.
I haven't played the Witcher but it sounds like that's your game.

Both. Easily the 2 best games of the year.

I picked up The Witcher 3 without knowing anything about it, and it quickly became one of my favorite games I've ever played. You build your character the way you want him with specific powers and armor. I've never had a game pull me in as much as The Witcher did. The story is fantastic too so that's a plus. I highly recommend it.

Witcher 3 if you want a more relaxing experience. Also has a more open world.
If you are okay with getting pissed off, throwing stuff, breaking controllers, or maybe even crying, then Bloodborne is a great game. Also be prepared to set aside 3-4 hours straight at least to get anything done.

I would note that you will die a lot early on in Witcher because the content is not even remotely linear.
There are level 25-30 monsters in areas just a little walk from your level 2 quest to get a frying pan.
The best advice folks gave to me is "learn to run."
Frustrating at times but not remotely on the same level as Bloodborne but also more difficult than the average RPG.
Oh. Wait for the new patch 1.07. They are adding some features that will make the game much better.
I loved DAI. I loved Witcher 3 and it is a game changer. I might be bored to death with normal RPGs. Having to dodge and use magic along with the attacks makes for a much more immersive experience instead of the normal button mashing.
