Why can't I make any shots in the 2nd half on NBA 2K13?

Every game I play online, I shoot lights out in 1st half and I always have a decent lead/close game. 2nd half rolls around and I literally can't make anything and I end up losing. It frickin pisses me off. I don't change anything about my playstyle and I get good looks, nothing falls though. What is the deal?

the real answer is the game is ghey as frick and will basically decide for you if it wants you to win or lose.
take nothing but wide open shots in 4th quarter? miss em all, lead to fast breaks for the opponent
opponent drains 3 pointers with 1 on shotclock to make up any deficit
thats my experience with single player. Online... dont know dont care. the thought of trying to make jumpshots with lag sounds awful

the lag isnt too too bad. I do agree that the game can decide who it wants to win

I have no doubt in my mind that sports games cheat you in the most crucial of moments. Its why i dont play them anymore.
