I haven't finished a MGS game since Sons of Liberty.
THAT SAID... I own the MGS collection on my Switch and will get into those that I'm missing once I hit a lull in my new releases. Splatoon Raiders is the flavor of the month and I'm still working on DK Bananza.

This game was the only reason I kept my PS3. In a way, it's great to finally box it up, put it on craigslist and be done with it. On the other, man, it feels weird for it to not be my Metal Gear Box anymore.

Never had a PS3 and therefore never played MGS4.
It will be interesting and a little strange to play it as of 2026. I don't know if an initial playthrough will have the same impact in current year as it would have in 2008.

I replayed MGS4. Definitely a fan service game that was extremely shallow on gameplay, not that I really care because you play for the story.
Some parts of the story definitely felt forced in there. Some characters coming back was a bit contrived and there were some relationships that were just created out of thin air.
That said, a good conclusion to the story and the last 30-45 minutes of the game was perfect.
