It's being worked on. Probably released some time next year.

Probably not for another 2-3 years. The director Nomura is busy with the FF7 remake right now, which knowing him will also take another 2-3 years.
It's being lead by a director that always takes on too many projects at once. Speaking of which you could always play those other games you mentioned plus Days, BBS, DDD, and COM.

I remember when I preordered on Amazon Prime forever ago the release date was like March of this year. I just checked and it now says December 29, 2017.

Damn I wanted to play these games again and realized that since I don't have PS4 or my old playstations, there's no way to play them. They aren't on PC, there's no easy emulators for them, and there's no xbone port

Damnnnnnn. I always thought since KH3 was being released on XBONE that they would do the same with 2.8 and the upcoming 1.5+2.5 HD remaster. That blows for Xbox users.

They never actually announced a release date or window for it. People assumed it existed for years before they ever announced it.
