My guess is that there was something broken with the season update and they decided to turn it into a marketing strategy, instead of pushing the season back.

I’ll be a weirdo and say I like Fortnite because it’s not violent. I know that seems dumb but I actually don’t like gratuitous gore and violence in my video games or movies.
I’m totally ok with it and don’t think it’s ruining society or anything, I’m just a squeamish guy when it comes to innards becoming outards. I can clean a deer or hog no problem but human blood bothers me.
