I want to know why social media thinks he’s Japanese video game Jesus.
He wasn’t even the best dev to leave Konami.

He made some good games. But they are also extremely weird.

The Metal Gear Solid series is basically anime combined with 80s action movies. I really loved some of the games though

I don’t get it either.
I also don’t get why Konami takes the lion share of the blame for the falling out when he was just as much responsible for it.

For me, he tries different things and his games get made. His Metal Gear’s are very highly thought of.
He also isn’t afraid to do something different like the UPS sim game in the modern era.
Y’all complain about studios staying in their lane with successful titles and doing sequels/remakes, etc…but criticize a dude who pushes the boundaries of gameplay and writing. Can’t have it both ways.

It's not a bad thing he pushes boundaries, it's fair to say that some of it is fricking weird though

I can't stand these movie games with 30-minute cutscenes. I don't play a video game to watch it. Just make a movie.
