What are the advantages of the Xbox 360 style joysticks as compared to the PS3?

I've only heard they are better for FPS mainly. Batman: AA are getting these batarang controllers with the same button/joystick layout for each console. what's so significant about the joystick location?

They make good practice for when you fiddle around a vagina with your fingers.

I've owned a 360 since launch. Picked up a PS3 a few weeks ago so I can play more exclusives.
I don't know if it's because xbox is all I knew or if it's actually better, but I bought a 360 style controller the next day. For me, there's a huge difference between the two sticks being next to each other versus one a little higher than the other. I also like the way the xbox controller's base fits in my hand.
The only problem is the xbox-style controller isn't blue tooth (or whatever). It's very sensitive and will lose the connection if it's line of sight is blocked...which happens too frequently. It came with a 6 foot cable that would eliminate that, but that's not long enough to reach my couch. I bought a ten foot cable, but it's not compatible.
I don't mind wires if they're long enough (like all xbox controllers are for my situation).

Stick tension. I hate floppy sticks.:nohomo:
Stick location.Seems like a more ergonomic location. Add that and the controller size and its a huge reason I dont own a PS3.

A 30 dollar adapter solves this problem
For me its a few things
1) stick location
2) stick tension
3) I prefer the concave stick tops to the convex stick tops of the ps3

Im not a big fan of controller adapters. Its more mental then proven but I think it slows the controller response.
I agree 101% with the concave issue. Plus the ps3 sticks are bigger on a smaller unit

Seriously. Just quit acknowledging it.
I can play both since I pretty much did most of my gaming on PS1 and 2 for the longest time. But for FPS's, I can't handle the small PS3 controller. Probably just preference.

Your thumbs extend from below the thumbsticks on 360 controllers, but awkardly from the side of PS3 controllers.
