I was 7-8 years old and saved my money for months to get an N64, that was my first "big" purchase ever. This was my first game. My buddy and I were still playing this game 10 years later, something about it held up really well. It was almost like NBA jam but leaned a little more towards actual basketball. I would play with the Bulls and Kerr would nail 3s all game. I guess they couldn't get Jordan to sign on so the bulls had some random black guy named "player" that had insane stats

it's funny how there's always that one guy in a sport that doesn't agree to be in the games. Jordan was often "Player" and was #99 (I seem to remember this being the case in several NBA games like old school NBA Live and NBA Courtside on N64 (the game with Kobe on the cover).

Barry Bonds was absent from MLB games for a while, and Bill Belichick isn't in any of the Madden games.

Yeah still have mine, it plays burned games without any mods or anything. The Street Fighter on there is/was legit! I really liked Way of the Warrior, but it is not a very good game. The first Sam Sho is on there and a very good version too!

I'm very impressed with the OP's Neo Geo systems...the AES is so damn amazing! I remember when they part of the current gen. Only time I ever saw one in the wild, was at some gaming store at the Galleria in Houston. I was impressed, but then I saw the prices

They haven't gone down one bit and are even way more $$$$$ for most of it

Gex and his sequels were great and my first real gaming parody that I understood.

Have this on 3DO as well. Pretty sure I had some codes to where you could access unfinished levels and other crap...but this was a long time ago

the system price isn't the problem as much as the game prices lol

Averages $400-$2500 for VG-Mint quality AES games. Highest ive ever seen in person was $17,600 for an unopened Metal Slug

Eta

And I recently saw a Boxed AES at a Portland game store for $875 (no idea the serial number on it), so thats a hell of a contrast imo. Its crazy though that the AES has basically never depreciated in 30 years.

They also had a boxed 3DO for $350, boxed nes for $525, boxed Atari Jaguar for $480 and a boxed Atari 2600 "not for sale".
