Warhammer 40k Dark Heresy (beta from Owlcat)

I love Owlcat games, I don't think there's one I haven't liked. I'm not far into this, but I like it, for a Beta.
There is a sometimes irritating lack of explanation in tasks/side quests. Eavesdrop on two medicae talking, and all of a sudden you get a task to use a vox locator to follow where they've spoken at before (with zero explanation), to find an item you can't get to (this is basically the game intro, you have almost no kit) without a melta charge, a multi key, or a skill you don't have? This is the place for you.
I'm not super deep into a lot of lore, but factions aren't explained nearly at all, but I know anything that starts with "Xen" is probably bad, but I had to look it up (again, this is with less than 30m of playtime into the game).
The map is unclear, in that you can't tell which sections are separated by doors, or floors, and which you can actually get to until you try through tedious clicking, perspective spinning, etc. The colors are so grimdark that I spent an hour looking for a guy I'd walked by twice until I figured out the Tab key highlighted interactive objects/people. The fact that everything I've encountered so far is indoors, doesn't help. Rogue Trader, this is not a problem. Kingmaker, where most of this is outdoors, not a problem. I'm just half blind and old.
Owlcat is one of the only studios I'll buy early or before a discount, and I haven't been disappointed so far. Anyone else downloaded it?

I am absolutely not playing this game till it fully comes out but I can answer questions from a lore perspective.
You’re an inquisitor, right? Suffer not the xenos, mutant, or heretic to live

does it have any tie in to rogue trader or is it completely separate?
rogue trader was pretty good. im in but will wait to release.

Totally separate. You play as an acolyte of an Inquisitor after an event you were involved in that caused the death of a different Inquisitor.
