A little help for an old man?
My son is 10, has Xbox 1, mostly plays Fortnite, COD, and a little red dead redemption. Asked for a VR set up for Christmas. Any recommendations? Would like to keep it under $100
TIA

Please move to Tech board if more appropriate.

Unfortunately any decent VR setup will be at least several hundred dollars.

Anything in the $100 range will be 'neat', but not something worthwhile.

My kids are too young, but I'm curious of the effect of wearing a headset like that for kids with eyes still developing.

I've worn some of them and if your eyes are too narrow it can feel like you are wearing the wrong perscription glasses.

The cheapest, best solution for you is going to be the Oculus Quest, which is an all-in-one VR solution that doesn't require something else powering it like a video game console or gaming PC.

However, $399 is your cheapest option there. I wouldn't look for anything cheaper, like in your $100 range. Cheap, budget VR right now will be a nauseating, unsatisfying experience.

Just get him one of the cheap ones for his iPhone and the login credentials for your pornhub premium account.

PSVR or a Oculus Quest is the cheapest options for somewhat decent VR.

Quest is currently the best cheap way to go because you can hardwire it to a computer through Quest Link and run full Rift and SteamVR games through the computer and basically have a Rift. You do need a high end computer to do this though.
