That's slightly less annoying than when the guy keeps shooting for take downs when doing a stand up camp.

This is the problem, my grappling partner usually takes the full mount, and then we do this little dance where we go from full mount to back control to full mount for the rest of the 5 minutes. I usually let the guy knock me out so I can restart, but sometimes the bastard won't even throw a punch from the mount position.

Hell I noticed in my career that it was WAY too easy for guys to get full mount on me. Then it was almost impossible to scramble out. Annoying as hell. We would literally sometimes just roll back and forth for 4.5 minutes from mount to back control. And my guy's grappling defense wasn't awful (78). This is how I lost pretty much every fight that I lost.

I am in career mode (8-0) but how do you get leveled up and how do you do the training camps. I know how to do the training and the sparing but is there something else I can be doing?

first you gotta schedule them by choosing a fighter to bring in. a few weeks later the camp will appear on your calendar. that week just goto action instead of training or sparring.

When you schedule the training camp it will appear as a white octagon on the day it happens (on a Thursday I think). When that week comes up you have to hit the action selection to participate.

Exactly. And conversely, mount is basically the worst position you can be in offensively. You can't stay there for more than a couple of seconds without the guy on the bottom transitioning into his open guard. It's pretty ridiculous.

Believe me once you do the training camps it is alot easier to get out of someone who has full mount on you and you have to wear your opponent out before you can really do anything in full mount..I have ended many fights from the full mount position..what I do normally is build my cardio and speed up as quick as I can first then do they training camps to get to the next level in striking and grappling then worry about sparring I had my speed and cardio maxed out and strength at like 60 and was crushing people with just 50's across the board on my abilities except for standing striking and kicking had 65 for that...

they usually schedule camps a week or 2 before a fight (which is stupid because it drains all of your energy). Haven't picked this game up in a while. Might create a HW next.

If you create a fighter and then start a career with him, does he have the attributes that you assigned to him when you created him or do you have to build them up like you do if you create him when starting the career mode?

You have to start from scratch. They give you enough point to avg a 30 for each category, i think.

Yeah you're right, I just tried it.

Just created Zangief from Streetfighter though. Awesome.

tried playing another career and can't get into it. So I played an online match and the lag was horrid.

Anyway i'm A. Silva vs Rashad Evans and he's whooping me (because of the lag) anyway he's gassing himself throwing punches so i get a takedown, minor transition and boom have him in a kimora.

It's hard to make any progress in career mode because of the autosave feature that you can't turn off. Any time you make any changes you have to wait on the damn thing to save.

...Preparing to save file

...saving file do not turn off console

...file saved

Really I don't need all of that. The menu's aren't very streamlined either plus the screens take forever to load.

My biggest gripe. NO ENTRANCES. The crowd doesn't react or anything. The camera just pans over the cage and they go on with the "Ooooour tale of the tape" I honestly expected a lot more. It wouldn't take much to make this game a whole lot better.

Funny you say that about the crowd, the first thing I noticed was how they didn't make a different person for each seat. It's just a a different angle on a group of ten.

This game is hard. I'm not a big UFC buff or know alot about MMA but thought the game would be cool. I'm like 6-14 online. Good ground and pound game and ok striker but anytime someone is good on submissions, i'm toast....

That's MMA, man. One style will always have advantages and disadvantages against another style.

I was 9-0 and got a serious case of lag.

I got knocked out three times in a row and it showed I didn't even get punched

Some people on live don't look at the stamina bar, I could get my arse kicked for all of the round and get an easy submission on somebody just because they wailed on me the whole round.

You might have to turn it on

Its on the bottom and you start off green... if you get someone in the red it's really easy to submit

I'm almost positive you have to turn in on, it's in the menus somewhere
