How do you feel about waiting on Canadians?

I had someone from Bama throw that one at me...
If that means people, then no I do not like those tables...I had a group from Indy smoke pot on the balcony, request gratuity be taken off (celebrated when I did) and then leave me 14 cents on a $150 dollar tab...they are the most demanding & rude and don't tip...and that's what any black, white, Laotian or any other server will tell you

You know guys, I think I may have thought of a way Hugo Strange knows of Batman's identity. Judging from the gameplay footage, it seems as if Hugo Strange went abroad for quite sometime. My guess is he's either working for Ra's (who know's Batman's identity) or that Red Hood is in charge of his security force, to where he would obviously know Batman's identity as the previous Robin and would actively be controlling crime in Gotham by ruling Arkham City. I'm hoping Red Hood is somehow involved since it could initially make for some awesome Scarecrow levels, and then at the end their confrontation could be great.

TOTD. I told pr0jekt last night I've been trying to avoid this thread, but today I can't. I just wanted to tell you guys, I have never been in so much pain the day after working out at a gym. A friend of mine talked me into going with him, and he's no scrawny bean stalk like me. He expected me to keep up with him, and I'm paying for it now as I type. I woke up this morning at 3:30 thinking my arms we literally going to fall off. Got a hot shower and watched a few episodes of Parks and Recreation. At work now, praying to the God Almighty that I make it to 4:00.

LOL. I feel your pain, man.
And Fox, the funny thing is it was a fellow Canadian that introduced me to that term. He didn't want to wait on them either. I had a bunch of them come in on May Day one year, and me and a few others gave them GREAT service, joked with them, and had a fun time. They commented on how they hadn't ever received that good of service at any time. So they leave, and we are looking at a bunch of $0.50 and $1.00 tips. I was throwing a lot of my tips in the kitchen. Soooooo pissed off.

Wow.. you both made me incredibly happy that the area I waited in did NOT have Canadians, this is HORRID. I use to think another group of people were bad.. I gave one group the BEST service they had ever seen before, and they were even the type that sent BACK all their food like 3 times.. and constantly talked about how good I treated them. 3% tip at the end.

My favorite has always been the sunday church crowds. A lot of them wouldn't tip, but then in the tip line would write "Praise Jesus" or some bible verse.
Thaaaaaaaaaaaaanks.

They frick you over so bad...doesn't matter. They can be nice, ghetto, young, old...they dont behave at restaurants and they don't tip. That's why I was telling you I hate essence fest. I only waited on canadiens for like 5 days

I wish Christians as a whole would learn that messing with waiters is a horrible witness.. you have these people that HAVE to work on a Sunday, so YOU have a place to plop your butt down after your church service, and then you are rude, obnoxious or even expect you to treat them like royalty.
The sad thing is, is that some of these do this because "they can't believe the person is working on a Sunday" ....
I feel like I was somewhat spared from a lot of problems other waiters face because I worked at a restaurant that had a lot of good patrons, and not a whole lot of jerks. It still makes me sad to hear.. as for the "Praise Jesus" thing, it's just their thing man, outgoing people like to right notes to their waiters.. "Praise Jesus" is probably a lot nicer than some other people might right. ;)

i've gotten to where i don't tip at all. it wouldn't have anything to do with waitress. i'm just cheap. i'll even leave hooters without tippin.

That's pretty fricked up.
Posted on 7/20/11 at 8:06 am to Devious
i know, i know. if i do tip, it's usually only 2 dollars, not matter the price of the bill.
Posted on 7/20/11 at 8:06 am to Devious
No tipping is wrong. I hope your parents raised you better than that.

:notsureifserious:
if that's true, I hope you break your leg next time you work out. It is unacceptable to not tip...you go out to eat, you tip 1/5th of the bill...otherwise go to mcdonald's

C'mon...waitresses are heavily dependent on tips for their well-being. Tip them 15% and quit being a tight wad.
