dude, i won't know what to do with myself if i move to PC. cost of living is gonna be expensive isn't it? i know there's no state income taxes but don't they get you some other way?

Property tax is where the bulk of their money comes from. In a state like Florida though, it's just a different way of living, you won't pay tax on food either I believe.

But rental properties on average are more expensive in Florida because of the property tax as well.

Once you own a home you will be paying property tax once a month. Home owners usually have an escrow though and the property tax is a part of it.
