SPOILER:
Just finished the "Butterfly" case where the man kills his wife with the tire iron.
My boss flipped out on me. Was that supposed to happen?

Same thing happened to me, I think that's just supposed to happen.
I just started disc 3 so I'm not sure how much longer I have left.
Also, anyone get that "The Naked City" DLC in the game case? I just downloaded it but haven't tried it out yet.

Bought the game yesterday and played last night.
Pretty fun.
One question though. What is the deal with the special cars? They are kinda useless without a siren or radio in them, what are the advantages of having one other than speed? Can you convert them into squad cars?

I look at the stats sheet and it said it only had 20 story cases total. this doesn't seem like alot.

Most of them take 40 minutes to an hour.
Add in everything else and you are looking at a pretty long game.
It really seems like you are starting to troll now.

A lot of them take well over an hour too if you like to be thorough and also respond to the other crimes in the city.

exactly, there may not be that many cases, but if you're thorough and look for all the clues and do everything, it takes a while to finish a case
right now i'm on one of the BD murder cases, and it took me probably 30-40 minutes just to investigate and find all of the clues just at the crime scene(the case with the blood trails leading up the buildings)
i love having the option to make the partner drive. sometimes i really dont feel like ramming into several light poles and mail boxes while barely missing civilians lol

Haha I couldn't have said it any better. I like that the driving isn't as tight and stuff like in GTA because it makes it a lot more realistic...but I don't always want to drive
I really like how the game is setup in general. They give you shortcuts for a lot of things that GTA never did. For example, if you're in the middle of a pretty long tailing mission, you don't have to start all the way over every single time if you mess up. Also, you don't have to like park and get out every time you get somewhere. Little things that save tons of time

Brett, I don't understand your avatar. Is that supposed to be Ingram? Because Porter is #22.

i looked at the Statistics page, i have 0/50 "film reels". WTF are film reels? Are their 50 random film reels hidden in the city? God don't make me search for 50 reels ontop of 90 cars ... cause ill fricking do it

Yeah I saw that too and wondered where they were.
And like you I will end up finding every one.

how do i restart an interagation without restarting an entire fricking case?
i'm better at interagating now, i don't all everyone a liar, but still i'll go 4/4 on some people then 1/3 on the next.

Instead of selecting "Restart" which restarts the entire case, exit to the main menu then resume. It will pick back up on your last autosave

nice!
while i am enjoying this game and how different it is compared to FPS's and other sandbox games to date.
I feel it will have very little if any replay value to me. Yes, the map is huge. The graphics, facial recognition, and interview process is all it's talked up to be. But let's be realistic, it has 20 cases, 90 hidden cars, missing film reels, and 40 street cases/crimes......and that's it.
I'm already sick of the street crimes, only about 4 different variations. I'll never be the guy looking for hidden cars or film reels. cars maybe.
The cases are great and so it the storyline, but once you play thru it, you know the clues, the guilty party, the right questions, etc. Why would I do it again?
enjoying it, but just sayin.
